The Practice has been involved in acting as an expert witness for the plaintiff and the claimant and the defendant for 10 years. This has been in the field of building claims, defects and standards of workmanship.

We visit the site, make a written and photographic record, and produce a detailed written report.

We have been an expert witness in the Crown Court and County Court, and have acted in cases of arbitration, having acted for the CPS, individual companies and private individuals.
The Practice has over 25 years' experience in the construction industry.

Davenport and Flinn mainly deal with the situation where an independent opinion is required to justify a position taken in a case. Fees charged for this type of work are based on a flat rate fee for the report. This would relate to a report covering a defect or a series of defects in one location of a property.

More complex issues may incur a higher fee negotiated prior to start. All disbursements are additional.
